The Spessart nature park is one of the largest continuous woodland and mixed forest areas in Germany, with more than 5,000 kilometres of marked hiking and walking trails. The region is also good to explore by bike, from easy river valley routes to demanding mountain bike trails. The location is a good base for day trips: destinations such as Mespelbrunn, Aschaffenburg, Wertheim and Würzburg are all nearby.
